Were you the trash talker? Being cocky and trying to get into your opponents head

Were you quiet & just did your job?

Were you very aggressive, the dude everyone hated guarding

Or were you athlete who just let your game to the talking?

I was def. A mix between a trash talker and someone who just let my game to the talking.

Some games when I played against teams better than us, I would focus and try to get inside their players head.

How were you?

I just play.

Focused.

But when I'm hot and I'm in a rhythm, I would let you know with stare downs and head shaking.

#swag

I played hard, lived and died for my team/coaches, but had a damn mouth on me too.

I was never "the star" but always a solid starter in each sport.

Quiet and did EVERYBODYs job (in basketball)
just silenced everybody with my ray allenesque jumpers. didnt say a word all pregame, game or even post game.

Playing catcher I always talked a lot, try to get in their heads. But any other sport I just tried hard and didn't talk trash at all, just tried to communicate with my teammates.

Depended on the sport. Usually let my game do the talking but if i got yapped at id return the favor.
Soccer, football, b ball.

Never in tennis

And for track/cross country id play mind games (i.e. yawn right before the start, seemed uninterested etc) and usually ended up near the top.

i was that laid back cats smoove game didnt put 100 % in till something in the game ticked me off
after that it was "aite then !@#$% its like that lets !@#$ing play then" all the time tho leagues, street, HS ball
i shoulda been pumped from the beginning

I was the best player on my soccer team, so my 'confidence' was just unbelievable.

I would say some foul +%% +%%$ to players I was guarding or were guarding me and then tell the refs during play stoppages about the verbal abuse I was receiving. Of course, refs take a closer look during play and quick whistle everytime

, fools were heated.

I was quiet in terms of trash-talk, but I argued with the refs all the time, albeit in a fairly calm manner.

played little league when i was 9 and played freshman football. i was very reserved when i played these particular sports but basketball is a different story. i played organized basketball from 5th grade till my senior year of high school. i was way too damn competitive, i really hated losing. i was more of the defensive player and a corner shooter. sort of like a bruce bowen type. but i really took losing to the heart and no one wanted to be around me when we lost a game. not till i became an 8th grader where i stopped crying after a game

. maybe i can play with the heat

when it came to basketball i aint say nuthin unless sumbody said sumthin to me 1st, i just balled on them %@%%*%. in football i was a heavy trash talker, i thought i was neon deion

It really depended on the situation. When I played baseball for high school, I was always professional and quiet and all that. When it came to playing summer ball, I'd talk *!!+ to umpires, opponents, fans, didn't really matter. I don't know what it was, but I felt like I was a badass come summer time.

staring, screaming, all intense "trying" to be hard.....  and yeah i was a suburban kid as well
laugh.gif

now that i'm older...   i guess like a luke walton type.   not the best player, i pass the ball alot...   and i play more relaxed now. i smile
laugh.gif
, help my opponent up when i knock em down, etc..

Never argued, never talked back to my coaches, kept my mouth shut until it was neccessary to jaw jack. Wasn't gonna let anyone walk over me. O yea, I was always the best player on the court.

IN football, I'm always trying to say something little, maybe sorta dance after tackle for loss, or a TD.
Just enough to try and piss off people on the other team, and to not get a penalty.

basketball, when it was in a travel league in middle school, i would always have a forearm on your hip giving a good push going up on a lay-up, and have times chirpin' with refs.
baseball, towards the end of my time, i had a horrible temper, swearing on occasion, throwing my bat during real bad strikeout streaks, was even tossed from a game for throwing my bat at the ground after like my 10th straight Strikeout.

played DT and Guard in football from 5th grade to my senior yr, I was very quiet when playing until high school when the all city all district honors started rolling in after that you could not tell me @%%# lol.  I was talking about your moms, girl, dad, cousins ANYTHING lol.. yea i was that guy
