I gotta agree with what Craftsy wrote about as well. To add to his points, I think your avy and sig is also a factor.
A lot of the times I remember a poster by their avy or sig, so for me the post count doesn't matter that much.

Post count generally plays into how familiar someone is with the community. All forums are different and it takes a while to get into the swing of things, justbecause someone has a low count doesnt make them dummies but it does make them noobs in a sense.
They are fresh to the setup, rules, and flow of the community and it will take some time to get used to it. So when you see people with larger post counts onething you definitely know is that they are familiar with the board.
