if a friend loan 1500 six months ago and i payed him 800 in those six months does 500 dollars interest seem fair....................even though i told him iwas going to pay him at my own pace and he was ok with it

*+@% no. if he's your friend and there were no terms agreed upon, pay him 1500 and a little extra maybe for him helping you.

$500 interest? I definitely wouldn't pay it.

If said he was fine with you paying him back slowly, then why would he add interest?

However, if I were you, I'd throw in a bit of interest regardless. Having someone loan you $1500 isn't a joke. People get killed for a lot less.

If you consider 33% interest fair

hes lost his job i guess

no credit card has a 33% rate

should i have a talk with him? how should i approach him ? i dont want to lose a friend over money

Just tell him that you'll throw in extra, but not at a 33% rate.

And pay as much as you possibly can as soon as you can.

In the future, don't be shy to lend him money.

Pay him back the balance + buy him a 30 pack n a 5lb bag of Spicy Hot Wings.

well i talked to him and he said its because his insurance is late and that he could have done something ells with that money

that's not a fair excuse. he should have planned out his finances beforehand. he should have let you borrow what he could afford to let you borrow.

throw in extra $$, but $500 is TAXING.

no man just pay him what you owe him and let us know what happens

for real, if he bugs about this $500 and ends your friendship....then to him, your friendship was worth $500.

WELL I HAD A TALK WITH AND HE WAS NO I COULD HAVE SPENT THAT MONEY ON SOMETHING ELLS AND THAT I TOLD HIM ILL GIVE YOU 300 MORE AND HE WAS LIKE NO..WHAT REALLYBUGS ME IS THAT IVE KNOWN HIM SINCE 6TH GRADE WE ARE NOW 24 AND HE ACTS LIKE THIS
