I just came in so i dont know how this might come together but

a lot of you guys are talented and all, but the game is dirty, why not just come together and write for 1 artist and split the profits?

some of the nicest artists on here really only got 1 style... yeah I said it.
so why not just make a really versatile artist from your work and just split the $

whoever seems to have the most star quality and stage presence and all that?

just a thought, better 1 guaranteed to blow than a lot of you guys almost make it

This theory is stupid..because
1. I know more than one artist on here that's capable of appealing to their own crowd enough to be successful in this game.
2. It's not about the talent, it's about the hustle..that's it
3. If we did what you just suggested, everyone would be broke..and the "best artist" wouldn't be THAT versatile regardless, because that's not something you can write to create..

hell no

it wouldnt work... u have to be able to write like someone to write for them... its not as simple as u make it sound... besides... as artists nobody wants to do that #+#$

im not drake... i take pride in writing my own #+#$... and i dont really need anyone's help to do me... it just doesnt make sense...

plus we all have different styles...

On top of that we all have different hustles, drives, and we come from different regions. Yes we all make music, but are we dumb enough to trust it as a sole income? Nah, I keep my hands in other things as well. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE music, but chances are my music will be introduced to someone with me doing somethign else.

But if anyone needs decent engineering, mixing, or basic mastering, let me know.

Why would rappers want to do this? That takes the whole point out of it. Whether or not you "make it" (self defined) is dependant on how hard you work.

That's it..not to sound like a broken tape recorder..
And I can say from experience, I have some worldwide respected connections(from back in the day, to people who's working with artists you listen to right now) and I'm still guaranteed NOTHING..My success can't stem from their success..yes, they can put it in the right hands, but they can't MAKE anyone like me or my music.
And they stamp me all day, but it doesn't mean the people they work with will..I have to utilize them to the best of my ability, but it all comes down to how hard I work and my drive to get where they are and hopefully beyond.
Much success to anyone who's actively pursuing their dream..

Has to be one of the dumbest ideas I've seen thrown around here.

As indivduals, ghostwriting doesn't sound bad.

As a group? Nah. Group ghostwriting? Maybe I'm not grasping the concept correctly...

im guessing this is the strategy that made G-Unit such a success early on....one superstar is more valuable than 3-struggling

You're assuming that if NT artists DID come together they would even BE profitable. Chances are not, it'd be huge a waste of everyones time.
People are artists usually for themselves first, you give that up, you got nothing. Ghostwriting individually makes sense, but not as a group. Group-ghostwriting makes zero cents.

well, like I said I was a little drunk last night
and im not backing out on my thinking, I just think its not for me to throw out there
I know dudes gonna get their feelings hurt and even if I'm right... im not an NT rapper/artist so doesnt really matter

pride keeps a lot of dudes broke

doesnt seem very profitable for most people here as of now anyway.
Dom touring and doing shows... don't see anyone else even makin $ off beats (I could be wrong cuz I dont go hard researching NT artists)

iunno, you guys help each other with beats, samples, let people borrow songs, yet I dont see any hustle, just guys waiting to get signed.
why not do something like a label or something close to it, which is a collective project like I said.
yes I know it means sucking up your pride and its dishonorable in rap but... its 2010, there hasnt been honor in rap for at least a decade.

that wouldnt work at all my dude, not even a @@@@##+ chance

i could never let anyone else write for me, that would take away the artistry of making music in the first place. Plus, some of these dudes verses is mad corny

How would we have someone living in a lucrative environment writing from someone out of Ohio? Not even dope dealers prosper out there.

I'm sorry I had to TIME.

Time is versatile and makes beats, but he looks like he'd get Yung Berg'd early or get mistaken for Wiz's little brother

Everything already stated aside, this would'nt work because of the ego factor. How many wack rappers are going to admit that they are and get help doing they're music.
