I've heard a lot of different stories about a NikeTalk virus, and I was hoping someone, particularly a Mod, could answer once and for all if there is or is not a virus circulating on NikeTalk.

Now before anyone goes and flames me here, I am perfectly aware that getting a virus is always a possibility no matter what pages you visit on the web.  My concern is specifically the so-called "Yuku Virus".  If anyone could help track down a definitive answer on this it would be greatly appreciated, not by just myself, but I'm sure many other NTers as well.

Thanks!

The problem wasn't with Yuku per se, but with one of the ad networks used by AdMeld. It's rare (considering the number of different ads in a rotation), but in the past malicious scripts have managed to get through the networks' screening processes and find their way into our ad rotation. When the ad would load, it would attempt to install a trojan on an unprotected user's computer.

To my knowledge, that hasn't happened since March or so and we're in the process of replacing those ad networks entirely - so as of November/December it shouldn't be an issue.
