Cheating on someone is not a crime. Destroying someone's property is. My suggestion is to press criminal and civil charges.

Honestly what needs to happen is these girls need to stop pressuring dudes to be in a relationship in the first place.
Those clingy *&^%$# with boyfriends who they had to CONVINCE to date them are the ones getting cheated on and being crazy enough to be outside looking like a psycho burning his sneakers

i know im going off on a tangent here but...

what if your gf was on birth control so she didnt ask you to wrap it up.  you went and cheated on her with some skeezer, and then pounded her out after and gave her chlamydia.  could that be classified as a crime?

No it is not a crime. However, knowingly giving someone HIV is a crime. It is the responsibility of people to protect themselves and get themselves and their partner tested. But obviously this isn't a realistic expectation but I know many couples who do so.

I agree. It's not justified by any means but it's not worth the hassle. I wouldn't try to get her to pay for them and I definitely wouldn't sue. Not worth the time nor the hassle.

Paying to make it go away. If more men stood up to this kinda behavior womenw wouldn't have such a sense of entitlement. You break any of my favorite things, I'm calling the cops. Especially if this is a gf we're talking about something that is potentially a temporary part of your life.

I rather not involve the cops. If she's crazy enough to burn your belongings she's crazy enough to make up Domestic Violence claims when/if the cops come. What if she claims she burned your shoes because you smacked her around? It becomes a he said, she said game that can ultimately waste a lot of time and money.

I'm just taking the L on my shoes and getting everything else of mine to safety.

I understand where you coming from and I respect your decision to do something. Maybe if I had more faith in the justice system I would do something.
