NT, Who here has made an Igloo ?

Was thinkin bout making one this year cuz building a snow man been played out

Anyone got any pics of theirs or a good DIY guide online ?

I think it'd be pretty tough to build an igloo cause of how the top curves. Me and my boys made a fort outside our apartment a couple years back and weused a big (clean) trashcan for pillars and then our neighbor bought some thing to mold snow into the shape of bricks so we could stack 'em right. Waitedfor a cold night and sprayed cold water on it and it froze solid

that was some quality work

Dude trust me...If you aint lived in Alaska or Antarctica for at least half your life or took some survival courses,you building an igloo is like tryin to takechange from a penny.

i havent but ive seen those igloo ice block making things...if it snows as much as its supposed to i wouldnt mind trying

You need the right sort of snow - good and deep and compact.

You can use a spade (not a shovel) to cut the blocks and a saw to tidy them up - makes light work of snow.

The shape kind of naturally happens but the hardest part is the block in the middle - the last part. You wouldn't be the first person to knock in themiddle 4 feet by accident.
