hell no!!! and risk getting sniped by the cartels im straight......depending on the pay.

thinking about it twice...yea i would with great pay plus benifits and not being stuck in a building all day sounds like a great career to me.

hell yea, i'm processing it for it as we speak. If your goal is to do federal law enforcement then the border patrol is good spot to begin and the pay bythe third year is pretty good as well. BTW it's Border Patrol Agent not Officer lol

I know someone who was about to join to carry a m16 full everything like cod4

if i'm outside all the time no...

but if i can sit inside and boss people around and/or push papers sure...

it depends where you get stationed at (right now they are trying to get people to get stationed in west texas and new mexico and opened up northern borderhiring). Some places are only check points in the middle of nowhere! When i was in Cali while i was driving across the border of cali and arizona in the middleof no where they had a checkpoint a couple of BPA where there asking me for ID. no lie this place was like 40 miles from the nearest town. Some agents workalone in the dark in the desert and have to arrest as many as 20 Immigrants. it's a dangerous job though. Check out the youtube videos where someimmigrants throw rocks at the BPA.

$73,000 + with or w/o overtime? You'd be surprised at how much your salary can jump up with overtime. What's starting salary? What if you have a degreethat isn't in law enforcement?

well according to their website:
Do you qualify?
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
 • Under age 40
 • U.S. citizen and resident of the U.S.
 • Able to learn Spanish or already speak it fluently
 • Clean background
 • Meet medical requirements
 • Phyically fit
& also the 73,000 is without the overtime.

Man i heard if you get stationed in northern border as a rookie you get no love from the veteran agents who had to get stationed in souther border and do theirtime to transfer up to northern border. even if you process for nothern border you have to do 18 months first in the southern border before you go up tonorthern border because you have to be trained and learn to do your job first.

$73 plus with some overtime.
