Well that's the only example you gave, I personally believe that most people that are ready to settle down choose the person that they choose as the best fit for them whether it be producing superior offspring, beauty, personality, etc. too many variables to only point to your "spreading your genes" theory. Isn't Darwinism based on choosing a mate you see as most fit for producing exceptional offspring?
