As much as Wale catches flack around here you can't deny how dope  The Mixtape About Nothing was. For a six month period in 2008 I was checking for everything he put out.

Blog post I made about The Mixtape About Nothing: http://bit.ly/KIitt2

Feels like half that time went by.
Mixtape's a classic in my book.
Always end up getting addicted to it again for a few weeks.

Muscially it was his peak, since then it's tailed off, but it definitely was the beginning of his rise to popularity.

I saw him do a show in NC back in April 2009 and he had UCB backing him up, his live show was on point. Matter of fact some dude named J. Cole opened up, downloaded The Come Up that night

#CLASSIC ..... I remember when Wale was the lead dude in his "Go-Go" band when i lived in BMore for a few years, i never would have thought in a million years he would make it main stream lol .. props to him, glad he aint letting it change his style.

damn 4 years already?

dudes was on a complete opposite of what they think of WALE now...

prolly cuz of Seinfield tho

His material Pre - Attention Deficit was at least at the time, listenable. I enjoyed his feature on Cudi's "Is There Any Love?", but pretty much anything after that was buns to me. No hate.
