Is Sami going to get the Kofi/D Bry treatment? While Cody gets the Batista treatment?
EYE have a lot of doubts on how you keep the forced Cody honeymoon stage to be extremely popular for another 2 months, while you have the champion he’s supposed to face at Mania in one of the best long term storylines of the last few decades with a guy who is more organically over than anyone in the company.

Yeah, it’s too bad they consolidated the belts (even though there are still two physical belts).

It seems like the WWE backed themselves in a corner with the main event.

There already are plenty of others. And there will always be others who will gain more access.

Look at basketball with someone like Shams.

Basketball and pro wrestling aren't the same things. Hoops will always attract reporters.

Dave Meltzer is the ONE "insider" guy that everyone knows, even if his information isn't what it used to be.

What separates Meltzer from the rest is that he's a historian of the business.

Look at Wade Keller. He's been writing the Pro Wrestling Torch since 1987 and his name NEVER comes up in this thread.

Sean Ross Sapp/Fightful and John Pollock are more reliable sources of wrestling news these days, but Dave is the one guy who will break down the news and tell you what it means.

As someone who doesn’t follow wrestling as closely, I think it’s a lot more difficult to compare Woj/Shams to a dirt sheet writer.

How accurate is a Meltzer? And why do all these competitors or talents decry his work?

Meltzer is more of a historian/speculator than newsbreaker at this point I feel like. Fightful has taken the news breaking corner. WWE also has relationships with ESPN and The Ringer, so they can always feed people info there.

Meltzer’s work as a historian is certainly appreciated. There are others capable of doing it though. He’s just been around the longest.

Brandon thurston and raj giri are pretty solid when breaking news and what it means business wise

With big news, wwe tend to feed the big outlets like espn, si, etc

Since it's a fake sport/television show, wrestling reporters are like a combination of sports writers and film journalists so it's hard to compare them to pure sports guys

Most of the big outlets (Observer, Torch, Fightful, PWInsider) are more accurate than not
