I think we should be more mad at the King family and his estate for even giving Ram permission for using his voice to begin with. Ram is just in the business to make money by selling trucks and most likely have no vested interest in civil rights or MLK's overall message. I blame the butter biscuit eating ****'s in MLK's family.

This really isn't that big of a deal, tbh, it's no less disingenuous than the t mobile commercial with the babies (which I personally liked). Bud and t mobile are doing exactly what advertisers have been doing since forever, trying to get people to buy their products. If it involves a good message while they hawk their trucks or phone plans then great, if not, then whatever. It's not like commercials have ever been this bastion of honesty and true representation of the people they want buying their products.

I saw it, with them using part of his speech as the backdrop to a truck commercial with majority 'merica' type images and thought what the hell.

Make no mistake champ, I like cheddar biscuits from Red Lobster just like any other real ***** but I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to tap dance for, or anticipation of a biscuit from the dominant society of any kind under any and all circumstances. I'll never go against my people, be it for promises of a gold chain or a 6 year college program for an Associates Degree from the dominant society.
