The Houston Texans D was swiss cheese this season. They need corners and safties BADLY, and if you can't get elite ones of those, typically you can help cover for your lack of coverage with great pass rush, since the Texans have used a few first rounders on D-linemen the last couple years, it's not wise to add yet another, unless it's a real steal of a pick.
On offense, they could certianly use some added line depth/upgrades, to both protect Schaub and also create lanes for Foster, but no real value doing that in round 1 or 2 when you have such a glaring need on D. I would also like a second WR for the offense to help take pressure off Andre, but again, this offense can put up 24-30 points with regularity, so worrying about the offense early in the draft would be foolish.
Ryans being injured, and Cush never getting his roids again, could cause some concern for the LB corps as well. If there is a great pick available, that oculd be a position to take as well, as long as it's a defensive dominated draft. Best case would be to try and move down a few slots, add an extra pick or two, and come out of this draft with a Corner, Safety, an extra LB (preferably on the outside so that he may also help aid in the pass rush on given snaps) while looking for some interior lineman in the late 3rd, mid 4th round range. Finishing that off with BPA at corner and any solid DLineman that may slide in the draft in the later rounds to add depth.
Have I passed the test, or should I stick to Dolphins only topics?
