I can sense a lot of waiting around if we don't nail the GM's.  Might need to look at that.

its already doomed when the real fans of the teams arnt picking for their squad

i mean it is a fake mock but just sayin

that's a worry of mine too... so far it's been a lot of regulars. I'll have a check in an hour before on January 30th and make sure everyone signs in...
if we are missing anyone, whoever else wanted to do it can do so last min or someone already in the draft can pick up the team. Pretty sure we'll be ok tho.

i know their are a few dolphins fans playing the mock... there aren't a few dolphins teams... there's only one

doesn't mean they aren't a fan of the nfl or of doing a mock. pretty simple actually.

The Houston Texans D was swiss cheese this season.  They need corners and safties BADLY, and if you can't get elite ones of those, typically you can help cover for your lack of coverage with great pass rush, since the Texans have used a few first rounders on D-linemen the last couple years, it's not wise to add yet another, unless it's a real steal of a pick.

On offense, they could certianly use some added line depth/upgrades, to both protect Schaub and also create lanes for Foster, but no real value doing that in round 1 or 2 when you have such a glaring need on D.  I would also like a second WR for the offense to help take pressure off Andre, but again, this offense can put up 24-30 points with regularity, so worrying about the offense early in the draft would be foolish.

Ryans being injured, and Cush never getting his roids again, could cause some concern for the LB corps as well.  If there is a great pick available, that oculd be a position to take as well, as long as it's a defensive dominated draft.  Best case would be to try and move down a few slots, add an extra pick or two, and come out of this draft with a Corner, Safety, an extra LB (preferably on the outside so that he may also help aid in the pass rush on given snaps) while looking for some interior lineman in the late 3rd, mid 4th round range.  Finishing that off with BPA at corner and any solid DLineman that may slide in the draft in the later rounds to add depth.

Have I passed the test, or should I stick to Dolphins only topics?

I've never done the mock draft before, but definitely want to participate. I also watched most of the Chiefs games this year on Sunday Ticket and like the core group of players they have to build on.

After all, the regulars had to start somewhere right?

i think the bigger thing about regulars doing it is they're usually on NT the most, so we don't get stuck waiting for days on end for someone to make a pick. just helps it move along. not so much to do with knowledge. but as long as you're around and online for it, cool no worries. like OP said, it's for fun. no one cares when you botch a pick

Not me my friend.  That was top of the head stuff.  The last two years I drafted for the Lions, and I actually picked a few guys that they went out and got in the real draft.  Stafford (was a given, I know) Delmas, and Pettigrew.

I love the Draft.  I wouldn't harm the Texans man.
