They're probably not going to raise the price anymore my friend, other original shoes like the Reebok Kamikazes and CB '94 have been the same prices since their original release.  The only reasons JB/Nike keeps raising the price is because of the so called "remastered" gimmick and the resellers.  Inflation is a small factor but doesn't cost a price increase that enormous.

Also the put the "three-quarter" because that's the height of the shoe (considered as a mid top)

the price is all marketing. Xi is the most thought after, so they pretty much get away with whatever they want to charge. hell, i even bought two pair of 72-10 with only intended for 1 pair.

in case you didn't know, the OG Xi has a much higher cut than the 09-present retros (not just the PL). pretty much the same way they treated the 1 mid and 1 OG high except it isn't as drastic on the Xi.

I still don't see how they expect ppl 2 drop 190 for some 2s. now u sling me that plush og 11 with the white patent cut I'd drop 250 faster than sonic the hedgehog

Yes, I know the original 11s had a higher patent leather cut but three-quarter has nothing to do with the patent leather cut it has to do with shoe height.

so long as the price stays at $250. If XIs reach $300 I'm done. Paying $300 for XIs would def push them out of the forefront. There's no way the masses will spend more money on shoes than a new phone or even a game system

Of course they shorten the height of some of the models the 4s, 11s, 12s, and more.

Jordan's are becoming a thing of the past for hypebeast. The new thrill are those Yeezy's because of that resell price. I've never wanted to be a reseller mainly because most of the popular shoes I liked I wanted to keep. But those Yeezy's are hideous to me. no I wouldn't lol. I'm not for resell at all, why would I want to pay resell prices for retail? Plus I've had bad experiences with older shoes, to much work to maintain and wear

The point is, $300 retail for XIs is something would would have to take them making them 1000% identical to the OG and better materials.

buy the OGs or the 2016 pair. The OGs are tanks and if they weren't stored improperly, can still be worn regularly with no sole separation. My White/Red 12s OG are
