Some of the Kings preseason games
The Phoenix Suns will play against the Kings here in Sacramento on Oct. 5 at Arco Arena.

The Kings will travel to Las Vegas, where they will play the Los Angeles Lakers in their annual preseason game at the Thomas & Mack Center on Oct. 13.

The Utah Jazz will wrap up their preseason against the Kings in Salt Lake City on Oct. 22 at EnergySolutions Arena.

Would love to go to Vegas for the annual game with the Lakers. Too bad it's in the middle of the week.

Yeah, Sean May gets clowned a lot, but I gotta respect him for his limited time in Sac. Never complained about the lack of PT and he did his best to stay in shape and contribute when asked. Best of luck on the Nets. Not sure how he got more money from doing less, but that's the NBA for you.

No. I still don't think we can be a play off contender unless:
A) Greene develops to his full potential (in my eyes I see him being a bigger not as skilled Durant-like player.... No I am not saying he'll be as good as KD, just the same type of skill set and play style)

or

B) We are able to attract a legit FA in the next off season.

or

C) The Kings pull of a miraculous trade (Probably involving JT or Landry for a PG/SF) that makes Evans + Cousins into a formidable trio.

Don't get me wrong, I love the trio of Evans/Landry/Cousins, but I just feel like that won't cut it. Call me crazy but we are just one big piece away from reaching relevance. Cousins, if he plays/develops like he should, is a definite step in the right direction; but if we stick with trying to grow this team "organically" (I hate that term

) we will be stuck in this limbo of mediocrity for awhile. Hopefully Petrie and the Maloofs prove my pessimism wrong and we do in fact become relevant again via the "organic" route, but I just feel like hanging on to dead end players like Casspi/JT/Beno/Greene even Landry isn't gonna get us anywhere.

Anything is possible. But honestly, I don't want the Kings to make the playoffs so quickly. Small market teams only get better from the draft and trading. The Kings will never be able to sign Melo or CP3 straight up. And trading for either of one of them will mean losing a lot of our young players with potential. Gotta use the draft to our advantage again hopefully.

I don't really agree that Casspi, JT, Beno, Greene, or Landry are dead end players. They are role players and they are relatively cheap right now. But yeah, they probably won't be franchise-changers even at their prime.

And there is nothing wrong with growing year by year. It took awhile for the last great Sac team to even get out of the first round in the playoffs so I am in no rush to make hasty decisions to be the 8th seed. I would hate the Kings to be stuck in the playoffs when Mr. Bryant is still playing on the Lakers. Not our time yet.

Lets wait and see how Reke DMC do on the court as well. They can make the playoffs and booom! @+@ will happen. LOL.

Can we get a new arena then?

Kings schedule! We starting on the road again!

im not trying to look ahead or anything, but the kings could very well be 7-3 after the first 10 games of the season

and i agree with all of you. This team needs to mature and grow with each other. Little tweaks here or there will definitely help this team out.

I would be happy with a 35-wins season. Trying to add 10 more wins every year. Just don't regress...

Not liking those long road trips tho. Never a good thing for a young team.
