Really hope memphis holds onto the 8th seed. If rudy was healthy that would be a series. Also I have a feeling this is duncan's last year possibly, even though I know they said he would play till the end of his contract.

Did Dirk, Barea, Fisher and S. Brown get techs? I didnt watch the whole game.

I did see the part with Blake, Barnes, Terry and Haywood get techs but theyre not showing up on Yahoo for techs. Those guys are above ^

Those technicals were separate.

Brown got tossed separately about 7 minutes later for a hit on Brian Cardinal.

The game kind of fell out of hand after Dirk got his tech. The refs pretty much called ALL contact from that point forward.

To be fair, Tyson had a good game. Could have used a crapload more Marion though. He should have been the one guarding Kobe all night. Not Kidd/Terry. I don't care if Dirk has to guard Bynum and Tyson on Pau, we can't have Kidd on Kobe. Recipe for disaster. Kobe was terrible in the first half, but lit us up in the second half.

I didn't know this, but Caron Butler hasn't played the Lakers since becoming a Maverick last year. I was going to comment on how it'd be interesting to see how the Mavericks would throw up a line-up against the Lakers with Caron, but he hasn't even ever played a game against them since his days in Washington. It'd be another tough, versatile player to put on Kobe that would actually make Kobe work on defense.

I'm kind of not counting on seeing him in a Mavericks jersey again though.

JA, I'm pretty sure Caron is done as a Mav. Don't even know what kind of a player he'll be when he returns next year. I'm not too optimistic though, at his age and with an injury like that, his days of being a quality starter could be over. If it's that bad though, I still wouldn't mind to see him back in a Stackhouse-type role, off the bench. Terry and Kidd need to go though...they're the ones who are feeding into this jumpshooting style. Of course Dirk does but that's what he excels at and he's consistent with it. Terry is too small and too streaky. Kidd does nothing in a half-court offense, plus the guy is almost 40.

Yeah I don't plan on seeing him return as a Maverick, although the dude really embraces the team. When I went to that GSW/Mavs game, dude didn't act like he was disinterested at all. He was in all the teams huddles, and pretty consistently watching the game and talking to crap to W's fans. I don't know, we'll see. I just don't want to see us overpay for him like we did Stack back then, though Stack was quite a few years older.

JET I can see being traded, but Kidd is going to be here till he retires, I'd think. If only we could get Deron...

I don't know about always going in on Dirk but Webber was right this time around. Dirk out there giving ticky tack fouls when his team is getting blown out after they just got sonned by Matt Barnes.

I'm so happy we brought in barnes...I think prior to getting him Ron was the only person (maybe LO) ready to bang and show we can be tough. Now we are tough which we will need in the finals for either celtics or heat.

there's an article in the NY times saying Rose shouldn't be MVP since the real reason the bulls are doing so well is great defense. I guess the anti Rose steam is picking up. been alot of people saying he shouldn't win over the last week

people are going after Rose's head *pause*. defense plays a huge part, but so does offensive right? it's not like he is putting up 15/4/4. he is putting up nice numbers and is putting the Bulls on his back since the start of the season
