I'm trying not to get too excited.

I know this team can't win a ring as is, but man... Chris Paul, David West and the defense they're playing can hang with most teams in a series.

New Orleans general manager Dell Demps has discussed the frameworkof a multiyear deal with West's agents at Octagon, but the Hornets'hopes of getting him signed prior to the Feb. 24 trade deadline is "notlikely at all," one source close to the talks told Yahoo! Sports.

Westplans to opt out of the $7.5 million owed him in the final season of afive-year, $45 million contract and expects to command north of $10million a season on the market, sources said.


That kind of shocks me.

I can't imagine trading him soon, even knowing you might not be able to lock him up.

I might be blinded or whatev, but besides the crazy amounts of 4th quarter collapses there has only been a handful of games where the Kings did not show up and compete. Outside of those games, the Kings played relatively hard and competed and were somewhat in it. I think the Kings have lost something like 14 games where they held a lead going into the 4th quarter

I think I have kinda given up on caring about the W's and L's for the season though sadly. I'll take the wins, but I just want to see a few games where the Kings don't choke away the game with their stupidity/selfishness/dumbness/youthfulness. (Que the Demarcus Choking GIF)
