Albert Haynesworth on way out?
Exhausted by the distraction and lack of effort from Albert Haynesworth, the Washington ******** have once again gauged trade interest in the defensive tackle from his former team, the Tennessee Titans, according to team sources.

It is at least the second occasion the ******** have had discussions regarding Haynesworth with the Titans since Mike Shanahan was named the Washington coach in January.

The Titans definitely would welcome back Haynesworth, a team source said, but maintained that the ********' asking price was still too high. The ******** are believed to want at least two draft picks for Haynesworth.

A ******** spokesman said he was unaware of any trade discussions involving Haynesworth but sources say the dialogue occurred over the weekend.

Haynesworth has been a thorn in Shanahan's side since the coach took the ******** job. Haynesworth drew Shanahan's ire by staying away from the offseason program and later lobbied for a trade because he didn't want to play nose tackle in the team's new 3-4 defense. Shanahan gave Haynesworth a chance to leave -- provided Haynesworth didn't stay around to accept a $21 million contract bonus on April 1. Haynesworth took the bonus.

Haynesworth also skipped a mandatory minicamp and was fined. When he showed up for training camp, he was made to pass a conditioning test before he could practice. After several failed attempts and several days of idleness because of a sore knee, he finally passed the test on the 10th day of camp.

Haynesworth then missed another week of training camp due to illness. Shanahan gave varying explanations for Haynesworth's idleness each day. The coach initially said Haynesworth "just was sick," then said the cause was dehydration, then finally said it was "more of a headache than anything else."

As the most highly sought free agent of 2009, Haynesworth signed a $100 million contract with the ********, including $41 million in guaranteed money. Haynesworth will earn a guaranteed $3.6 million in 2010 and $5.4 million in 2011.

I think I am getting wiser in how to use my physical skills. That's the frustrating part when you put so much heart and desire into things and feel like you are not wanted.
Sources: Trust to take Bush’s Heisman
The Heisman Trophy Trust is expected to strip former University of Southern California star running back Reggie Bush of college football’s top honor by the end of September, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Bush would become the first player in the 75-year history of the award to have the trophy taken away. The NCAA found major violations in the Trojans’ football program in June and levied serious sanctions against the school.

Two sources close to the Heisman trust said the body’s investigation is coming to a close, and will ultimately concur with the NCAA’s determination that Bush was ineligible during his Heisman-winning season in 2005. Because of that independent conclusion, sources said the trust will relieve Bush of the award and leave the honor for that season vacant. The sources said Bush met with Heisman representatives last month at the New York law offices of Emmet, Marvin & Martin. The sources would not reveal details of that meeting.

Bush, now a standout with the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, could not immediately be reached for comment.

The Heisman trust has been conducting its own independent inquiry into Bush’s eligibility since the NCAA ruled in June that the USC star had committed multiple violations by accepting cash, gifts and other impermissible benefits while playing for the Trojans. Yahoo! Sports first detailed the extra benefits in September 2006. In its findings, the NCAA retroactively ruled Bush ineligible for part of the 2004 season and all of 2005. The NCAA also ordered the USC program to remove all references to Bush from its sporting venues and promotional materials and vacate his statistics from all games in which he was ineligible.

In July, incoming USC president C.L. Max Nikias announced that the university would be returning its copy of Bush’s Heisman to the trust, stating the Trojans would honor and respect athletes who “did not compromise their athletic program or the opportunities of future USC student-athletes.

3 years? hmmm

While this could be portrayed as a four-year, $64 million deal, that’s not the reality of it, according to the source. Brady would not accept a deal that pays him less per year than Eli Manning, who is making $16.4 million per season.

While I think DD is going to be more effective than Batch I almost think Charlie should start and manage the game then bring in Dixon to change pace and jump start the offense if needed. Oh well just need to go 2-2 till Ben returns
