2010 provided us with the greatest moment in SF Giants history and that was finally winning it all after the move to the west coast in 1958. A lot of us and likely all of us didn't have this team making it this far or even sniffing the playoffs come opening day one year ago. With an opening roster that included John Bowker, Aaron Rowand, Mark DeRosa, Bengie Molina and Edgar Renteria, it was almost a joke what the team was throwing out there. We saw key additions to the team like the signing of Pat Burrell, the waiver claim of Cody Ross, the call-up of Madison Bumgarner, the trades for Javier Lopez and Ramon Ramirez and of course the call-up of the 2010 Rookie of the Year, Buster Posey. (I intentionally left out Jose Guillen

September, October and that one day in November were some of the greatest baseball, I've ever seen them play. Pitching was clicking on all cylinders and the hitters got hot at the right time and they rode it the whole way through. Yes, I'm still in disbelief to this day that they're the champs and coming March 31st, they'll be known as the defending World Series Champions.

Very quiet offseason,

Notable Additions:
November 23, 2010 - Agreed to terms with 1B Aubrey Huff for 2-years $22 million.
December 3, 2010 - Agreed to terms with SS Miguel Tejada for 1-year $6.5 million.
December 3, 2010 - Agreed to terms with INF Mike Fontenot for 1-year undisclosed amount.
December 3, 2010 - Agreed to terms with OF Pat Burrell for 1-year $1 million.
December 20, 2010 - Agreed to terms with RHP Guillermo Mota on a minor league contract.
January 18, 2011 - Agreed to terms with OF Cody Ross for 1-year $6.3 million.
January 18, 2011 - Agreed to terms with RHP Jonathan Sanchez for 1-year $4.8 million.
January 18, 2011 - Agreed to terms with RHP Ramon Ramirez for 1-year $1.65 million.
January 19, 2011 - Agreed to terms with RHP Santiago Casilla for 1-year $1.3 million.
January 20, 2011 - Agreed to terms with LHP Javier Lopez for 1-year $2.375 million.
January 22, 2011 - Agreed to terms with OF Andres Torres for 1-year $2.2 million.

Notable Departures:
November 30, 2010 - Dodgers agree to terms with the INF Juan Uribe on a 3-year contract.

Core is there basically. Even with the loss of Uribe (who espn had as one of the worst off season deals behind Werth) we're collectively the same group.

Hoping Belt can be this years Posey.

Though let's not get ahead of ourselves and get spoiled on that happening every year
