JVG just said the same thing I said in the offseason thread... you could make one of those YouTube vids of defensive lowlights about plenty of other high-usage offensive players around the league (Lillard, Rose, Kyrie, DeRozan, etc) but for some reason everyone likes to focus on Harden.

Rose? I doubt it. IMO the most underrated part of his game. he can lock up. The other three, definitely.

Here's the concept you guys don't get. If your lack of defensive has been in the national spotlight and you still don't fix it, then you deserve to have a million lowlights on you. How do you even defend that?

Well the year he played very good defense ('14/'15) it was looked over completely and people still found a way to dig through his that season and reach for low-lights, so it really does matter. That narrative has been built up so much that he could be in contention for DPOY and people would still find a way to slight it and elevate dudes not even doing as well.
