It's not encapsulating him to just those two moments.
It's more about him not exerting his physical will against teams and exploiting his advantages. Like some people have already said, If LeBron went to the post and bulldozed his way to the basket each and every time--he'd probably have more success in the post season.
But I guess subscribing to that is the cyanide pill. You then start to see teams sagging off Lebron and daring him to shoot, because they know they like their chances if he jack ups jumpers.
We should just accept LeBron for the player he is and will never be. Probably the most physically gifted player to step foot on an NBA court, but has serious deficiencies that he's never really addressed. I remember NT belly aching over how he needs to develop a post game and he eventually did. But I don't think anyone has ever mentioned him needing to develop a mid-range jumper.
Not sure if it's too late for Lebron now, considering it's his 13 season. But he'd certainly be unguardable if he couldn't sag off of him either.
Its basketball, cant just "exert physical will and bulldoze your way to the basket"
Teams are too sophisticated defensively for that. All they'll do is load up.
They were playing Bron like Kobe played Rondo, no respeck at all for his jumper. As for last night there were several points down the stretch with Lowry on him where he could have made the quick spin baseline or a move to the middle before the double came, but he seemed content to hold the ball and wait for the defense to get set where even if they doubled, the rotations were set to recover. That's how you still get them contesting the shots late in the shot clock.
That's the point I made in the latter part of my post.
Lebron's career has been a disappointment thus far. Someone with his talents and expectation, should've had more success.
Lebron's career has been a dissapointment this far?
Is dissapointment really the right word?
Come on

Made it to the Finals 6 times. Won only 2 times with a "Super team". Basically catered his own team in Clev and Miami and still can only come up 2 championships? Oh, and let's not forget that Ray Allen caveat
It's safe to say, unless some sort of miracle happens--he's going to lose again this post season.
For someone who's supposedly the "Second Coming" or "Chosen 1" , he's certainly failed to meet expectations. He's basically the Peyton Manning/John Elway of the NBA
Lebron a disappointment... Wow. Done heard it all.
He's just a disappointment in the winning department but 2 rings is nothing to scoff at either.Lebron's career has been a dissapointment this far?

Greg Oden was a disappointment. Lebron is gonna retire with titles in one of the toughest eras ever.
See comments like this drive me insane.Lebron's career has been a disappointment thus far. Someone with his talents and expectation, should've had more success.

Sure, but given his circumstances and fortune to play with great talent. He should've won more often.
If that's not undeniable, then I'm going to have to agree to disagree with some of you guys.
Other than the Dallas series, which titles should he have won? He deserves all slander for playing trash against a very good mavs team
IDK maybe my expectations are a bit high for LeBron. But when you're heralded as the "Second Coming" of Micheal Jordan...there's an incredibly high bar to meet.
I'm not saying he's come short in his overall career, but he has had many shortcoming in the post season...when it matters most.
Whoever thought he was the 2nd coming of Jordan that's their fault. Other than athleticism him and Jordan are nothing alike.

The real question is, why wasn't he supposed to win every series? What does that tell you about him and his career in the post season?
You guys are either too easy on LeBron, or I'm just too harsh
