The B10 west is an mirror image of the B12 north 10 years ago with all of the money power & influence in the other division. Only saving grace is the check at the end of the year.

That might be a tough reality to accept for Nebraska but cash rules.

Speaking of, the Corral story:

Had multiple disciplinary issues at Oaks Christian, then beat up Wayne Gretzky's son over a girl.
this should have never turned into a issue in the 1st place. if corral parents was the ones with the bigger pockets and sent more kids there we would of never heard about the fight.

and it doesnt matter what either side is saying we both know if he wants to go to SC at the end of day they will take him

That's not necessarily a bad thing tho, the road to getting their **** together is a lot shorter than it would be in the East.

Wiscky resource wise is really the only program that should be competing with them on a year to year basis, but unlike Wiscky, Nebraska can take advantage of the regions JC programs and take some borderline academic kids that Wiscky can't because of their administration.

They are probably never going to be what they were in the 90's again, but the potential is certainty there for them to run that division.

I honestly hope they do take him. He's the 2nd or 3rd best QB in this class imo. But from everything I've been hearing and Helton's treatment of EJ Price and Noah Jefferson who were absolute studs, it's looking like he's drawing a hard line in the sand over behavior. He doesn't have a lot of cache as a head coach so I understand why he would want to control and limit distractions and negative locker room influences.

He's trying to embrace the Chris Petersen philosophy of coaching.

It wasn't a bad thing in the B12 either until Texas Tech was running them off the field :lol

that was because of a terrible coaching hire which was the result of systemic administrative problems that are probably still there.

Was told to keep things clean by SC then had a verbal confrontation with staff at a camp, a situation that never got physical but escalated so much it got out of the camp and back to SC. Clay Helton called him, told him he was in the wrong and that SC would start recruiting a 2nd QB - basically gave him the ultimatum to get his **** together. MC got upset, the convo spiralled, and he felt he couldn't stay committed if they were gonna take 2 QBs. CH, as he did with EJ and Noah, told MC that it was prob best if both sides severed ties. Corral has been upset and telling people in private that SC chose sides against him in something mundane and he was forced out. SC people are saying he has discipline issues and doesn't take instruction or criticism well and that his reaction to the discipline was worse than the initial incidents.

Bravo Helton. Respect. This kid is trouble. Thinks he's being picked on unfairly. Thats what happens when you're on a short leash

I'll still take him though

Willing to bet a g plus the money for the other game on the fact that Daniels goes to Stanford. It's signed, sealed and delivered.

It was $500 on stanford i thought? I can check but I know I ain't playing with money like that

it was $500. I was being a jerk and showing i was more confident in +14 than a kid choosing a school. I don't trust these whipper snappers deciding on schools.

“I don’t want to start jumping into that hornet’s nest where someone’s quoting me as saying, ‘Well, this school ought to join the Big Ten,’ ” Osborne said during a media tour in greater Des Moines to promote his TeamMates mentoring organization.

“I do know people that I’ve talked to in the past who maybe have some interest. And so I think the Big Ten is a viable option.”

As a Michigan fan I'd love Texas and OU in the conference. Competition would be STOOPID :hat

, but part of me still sees those schools ending up in a conference where they can bring their lil bros along like the Pac 12.

I'm thinking we're going to end up with KU and probably reaching for a school like UCONN to get to 16.

at that NJ.com writer complaining that Rutgers is getting screwed by the B1G.

They have ZERO room to complain about anything.
