Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

I think KP just needs to find his spots. He's kind of all over the place. Part of that is coaching. Where is KP most comfortable? Where has he had the most success? I can't tell. And if I can't he probably can't either. Rather than having KP wandering so much we need to help him find areas on the court where he can develop the muscle memory and not have to think. Whether it's Tim Duncan on the angle bank shot, Pat Ewing on the baseline jumper, or Dirk with the free throw line one footer, they all had their spots. When KP finds his he'll find consistency.

this goes back to my previous post, are the Knicks good, or the other teams are playing bad ? Because looking at highlights, the Kings were fluent in offense, even almost had the game, they looked better then the Knicks honestly.

Ya'll are crazy for saying we "suck". This team is overachieving they haven't even "gelled" yet. We've lead and been competitive in all the games except the ones versus CLE and HOU. Straight up, we're winning games we've historically would've lost with past incompetent coaching.

This. This team is actually doing things that typical Knicks teams couldn't. Close games

It's true though. The games we are winning are against inferior teams but those are the games we lose all the time. Look at the last past 3 seasons

We need to keep them teams down though.

we can't have them thinking they have a chance. We go up big then the other team gets confident and comes back.

Then we having heart attacks in the house and what not. No bueno

We play down to bad teams and don't play up to good teams.

It'll catch up to us. Probably with/due to more injuries.

phil just needs to shutup... one thing he is great at is coaching... he needs to worry about building the roster and not controlling the offense by forcing the triangle and throwing his players under the bus...you can say he had great players but its not guaranteed you will win it all... him being a gm or president was probably the worst decision ever... but dolan was getting so much backlash for running the franchise into the ground he was forced to sign phil and he was supposed to be the savior... but in reality dolan just hired him so phil can be the scapegoat and dolan can be forgotten about and make hit records

What Phil did worked.

Melo had maybe 1x he did that rockabye iso shuffle to shoot, but only after KP did it.

Usually it's 1 hard dribble to splash which was beaut or he took it in hard no bruno

Knew something was wrong. The way he was moving just looked completely off.

Also the last 3 years our roster on a talent level was no where near this high. We SHOULD be beating garbage teams, yet we get blown out by every good team and barely beat the bad teams.

3 years ago we still had stat, tyson and felton who were still in their prime exception for amare... and still had decent role players like jr and shump and still missed the playoffs...this forced melo to drop 62 in a game... yes this team is talented but lets not act like they are great... we have a very serviceable drose but he is nowhere near his mvp level and noah is just trash... jennings is ok but hes very ineffectient... he knows how to run an offense but again he doesnt look nowhere near as good as his rookie year... we have good players who just arent the same after injuries.... and the rest of the guys have promise but are just too young and need serious time to develop like KP, kuz and billie

100% can see the Lakers beating us tomorrow. Russell might be back, they play much better with him.

im actually happy with our record and just defending the fact that we are finally beating losing teams compared to old teams from before... which means we are starting to see progress and have a legit shot at the playoffs...
