Official 2017 Knicks Offseason thread, Phil Jackson gone

View media item 2478237

According to espn..............Sources told ESPN that Jackson had been upset with Porzingis' actions and was trying to teach him a lesson in professionalism this summer. Jackson, sources said, was contemplating a trip to Europe this summer to meet with his young star man-to-man.

So this fool claims he cant go to road games because of health/age but he can go to Europe to have a convo? :smh:

So glad this guys gone.

LMAO Dolan picked up jackson's 2 year option less than 3 months ago. gets paid 22 mil for nothing and doesn't have to deal with knick franchise anymore. Jackson got his way at the end

Money can literally buy you into and out of anything.

This wasn't even a scratch on Dolans wallet.

Setting aside Phil's BS, big picture Knicks are healthiest they've been in ages: 3 promising youngsters, all their picks, & cap flexibility
Willy and Kuz are going to be good roleplayers too...think Willy might have more potential to be a solid starter.

Team is in good shape, all things considered.

Rose for cheap and at the 2 would be ok. Have a good PG come in or have Andre Nickatina come up as a good facilitator.

As long as the new GM doesnt trade picks and doesnt sign injured players i'm good with anyone. Dont even care if he overpays since everyone will get overpaid.

love willy. he has great, great potential

nice that he got recognized a few days ago

You could tell Phil was posturing the whole time trying to teach KP A ‘lesson.’

The whole thing was some of the corniest stuff I’ve seen in a while from a GM and Presiden. Glad we got him the hell out of here. I was worried Dolan would continue with his passive aggressive ‘this is what y’all wanted’ routine.

Phil being gone is a personal satisfaction...

As far as on the court though this now gives Hornz free range to create a system that WORKS given his current roster. Triangle = gone. If we can push the pace a bit with a young PG who makes good decisions then let's do it.

8 seed.

Calling it now.
