They will kick the tires on anyone if we can be a better team.

Now I highly doubt we would sign him. Probably monitor what he gets because he or Trea may set the market.

I want Trea back but at the right price.

The real question is what's up with Trevor and that contract?

Can we get out of it?

yeah me and a buddy were just talking about Bauer. Like last we heard he was appealing the suspension...whats happening with that? According to Spotrac he's still on the books. I would assume if he's suspended or even just in appeal limbo, he can't pick up that player option...?

The way their pitching performed vs San Diego, they could have used Bauer. He’s “suspended” and when you’re suspended you don’t get paid. So technically he’s “off the books” but I would imagine that could change if something were to be appealed and he wins.

just hard to believe there wasn’t enough evidence to pursue legal action but he still was suspended 2.5 years while Ozuna out here beating his wife (on video) and driving drunk (on video) and he’s playing like if nothing happened

His mouth got him in this situation. Right or wrong. Baseball didn't want him around.
Yup. Although unfair it seems how everything has played out, you can’t continue throwing stones at MLB and expect them not to get some revenge if opportunity arises.

But it was odd we never heard anything from the players Union. Aren’t they supposed to back up/speak up for players?

I wouldn’t be surprised if the players union really doesn’t rock with Bauer either. That’s a situation which needs some type of resolution either way soon though. No need for it to be hanging over going into 2023.

As for 2017. I’ve been over that. The Dodgers did themselves no favors that series. Blowing a 3-1 8th inning lead with a chance to go up 2-0 in the series and absolutely ****ting the bed in game 7 against beatable pitching. Both those games were at home.

And the Dodgers track record of underperforming in October in recent years hasn’t done them any favors optics wise. What the Astros got caught up for is ultimately part of their legacy and will always be mentioned. Them responding to all the fallout and continuing to win despite all types of roster turnover is also part of their legacy as well. The best payback for the Dodgers is to put 2022 in the past, and find a path to handling business in October next year.

I laughed at the elite defensive thing....as many errors we saw him make this year....

The postseason thing is funny...because if he doesn't come here that streak for sure ends.

I hope we can get him back but if it's gonna cost us a crazy price, some bum team can pay it. Not us.

You know they want our young guys. Pretty much every discussion has Miller, Vargas, outman and cartaya involved
