He's better than Utley and Hernandez, and eventually Justin Turner is going to turn into Justin Turner.

Solid, low risk move, I like it.

You don't want a Utley/Hernandez platoon. From a depth perspective, how do you not like it. Kendrick is your starting second baseman, Utley is your backup and let Hernandez worry about covering the left side of the infield. Kendrick needs more time off, and Utley definitely can't play consistently. Father time always wins.

Also you have to account for Saeger, even if he gets off to the start we want him to, he may hit the dreaded "rookie wall".

This team is deep.
