I'll never forget the end of that OT game vs. OKC. Son was stumbling around with his mouth open like he was on his last legs after going 10 rounds with Lennox Lewis.

It happens VERY often and it costed the Sixers a couple of games against the Celtics with crucial turnovers. However, even when he was tired, he would still go all out on defence and block and crap out of players.

I think the Wolves is a poor comparison. They added other vets for depth (lakers added Stephenson and Javale), plus they already had a face of the franchise in KAT who is a 20 and 10 guy. Lakers don't have that, Ingram and Ball aren't that (yet). Let's say they make the third seed, I can't see them doing any damage in the playoffs. I will put em on the same tier as OKC right now.

I'm sure Magic has a couple of more moves to make this offseason so we will see.

PS. as much as I HATE the Lakers, I do think the NBA is more fun when they are good, the higher the ceiling, the harder the fall.

I make the Wolves comparison in this respect. The Lakers of last season were better than the Wolves of the season before Jimmy came. Zo played 52 games, BI played 59 games. There was a lot left on the table.

Boston -contender
Philly - pretender
Everyone else is not even good enough to be pretenders. People don't realize just how trash the east is going to be. Probably be a 38 win team in the offs this year.

Aaron Mintz should be fired today. He's botched this beyond belief.

I just realized that Masai was probably betting on LeBron leaving so he did not push the reset button. That's actually a smart bet. Right now, the east contenders are:

1. Boston as heavy favorites
2. Toronto
3. Philly (until they prove they can improve this year which is very likely)

1) Boston - heaviest favorites imaginable
2) Philly - talented youth and record will improve by finishing close games
3) Indiana
4) Bucks

*Toronto - new coach, doubt they get a 1 seed again in the near future

Indiana's ceiling is quite low with the current roster. and the Bucks have been a big disappointment, I would put them at #4 or even #3 if they get their act together. They have the talent.

I'd still put Toronto at #3 mainly because they have accomplished the most out of every team other than Boston. We will see how they will do with the new coach.
