I can understand if it was a one yr deal. But Lebron really committed long term.

He took the long-term deal cause he's happy to be in LA to finish his career and he's LeBron...the players will come to him. He doesn't need a ready-made contender at this point in his career.

Can you explain to me why the Lakers would want Wall’s contract?

They’ve been setting up years for this. They finally got a max free agent and it’s Lebron. He didn’t sign for a 1 year deal, he signed for 4. He’s here for the long haul. We don’t have to rush to improve for him to convince him to stay.

They have enough cap space to sign a max free agent number but they lose that ability if they conduct any trades. Why would they ruin their chances this summer by trading for Wall?

The Wall trade will probably still be available in the summer if the Lakers strike out on a max free agent. I just don’t understand the motivation of a Wall trade for the Lakers.

No, I can't explain it to you. If Lebron wants this done, it's gonna happen. There are a lot of moving pieces behind the scenes that can dictate whether or not this deal is actually pulled off. I'm STRICTLY going off of the sources from the link I just posted to VARNELL HILL

However, if teams around the league view the Warriors as a wounded duck, there will be deals made with the hopes of getting past GS in the playoffs this year.
