The best players on the current Blazers outside of Dame and CJ are Rodney Hood, Hassan Whiteside, Zach Collins and Anfernee Simons.

That **** is bad. That’s legit a lottery team. Lillard and CJ are good enough to keep them afloat in the playoff picture but that front office should really get some **** for having two players that good and not maximizing their chances at really competing for a championship.
I’d put money blazers will make the playoffs, you down

Bazemore, Hood and Whiteside are solid adds but the Lakers don't have depth?
I would say lack of perimeter playmaking and shot creating. They have Lebron and that’s it

Kuzma might be able to help with this but yeah I’d say that’s their biggest question mark as constructed

As I said, Dame and CJ are good enough to keep them afloat for a playoff spot. I wouldn’t bet against them not even making it but the West is really good and their current roster outside of their top two players is borderline trash.

Kanter, Aminu, Harkless, Seth, Layman and ET all gone. And now they’ll be counting on pretty much all their young guys who rode the bench last year, Whiteside, Bazemore and Rodney Hood. That doesn’t sound like a recipe for success when every contending team around them got better this offseason.

If you take off the top 2 of any team they will be trash but yeah I get what you’re trying to say

Take off Ben and Embiid from the Sixers and they’re still pretty good with Tobias, Horford and J-Rich. The Raptors were really good in games without Kawhi. The Warriors were still elite in games without KD. The Celtics were really good without Kyrie. The Pacers almost won 50 games without Oladipo.

But I’m not even saying just completely take Dame and/or CJ away...I’m just saying even WITH them in the lineup the rest of this roster is gonna have them fighting for a playoff spot.

(You) I said top 2 players not just 1 but again I get your point. Portland did lose a lot more than i originally thought. I had pegged them as a top 4-5 seed but it’ll be an uphill battle looking at that depth chart

Come playoff time they won’t have anyone to defend wings

Covington is going to be highly sought after, he’s sorely needed by many west teams

Easy for us to say that we wouldn't pass it up.

Imagine playing in the playoffs, wanting to enjoy your summer and time off and then having to COMMIT to aomething else that you probably don't even care about.

It is VERY easy to see why so many folks drop out. What is in it for them?
Sorry I didn't see this sooner
I love the sport so given an opportunity to play for my country against other countries is something I wouldn't pass up. Yes it's easy to understand why they dont wanna play a lot of these guys dont really love the game like that and that is what disappoints me. Plus traveling overseas with new teammates is always a valuable and enjoyable experience but I get it most guys are lazy and/or have that shortsighted what's in it for me mentality u alluded to. It's also not till the end of the summer so even those who played in the finals will have had plenty of rest by then. If this is our sport we should dominate it ruthlessly and our best players should be eager to do just that. Not get lazy until we get beat again which is what is likely going to happen..

I think in the end there are just some in here (including myself in this one) that are bigger on continuity than others. With all the movement this summer, this will be an interesting test of how important that is.

Agreed but what teams are you saying have this continuity?

I wouldn’t equate not wanting to play on the national team to laziness. Besides not having any way to prove that’s true, I highly doubt the very best athletes in existence can afford to be lazy

All of this is with regards to the REGULAR SEASON in the West-

I see Denver falling down some people's rankings and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Won 54 games last year. Bringing back the entire team. Best players on the team are all young and improving aside from Milsap.

Harden + Dantoni is good for 50+ wins easy.

San Antonio and Utah are proven systems.

Dame & CJ both in their primes is good for 50ish wins. Stotts is a good coach too.

Renting the house will cost him 6 mil. It's available for 14 mil.

Probably would've been better for him to buy the house and for him to rent it out for a few years lol

*edit

Welps my bad thought it was 500k a month

Still kind of stilly for someone with that much money to rent property instead of buying in a market like LA. If he buys, no matter how long he stays on the Lakers, he’ll eventually get his money back or even make a profit from renting the house out or flipping it later. Rent money is just gone.
