So he's going to leave GSW, presumably because of Steph and the OG core's shadow, to prove he can win w/o them...by joining the guy he lamented being #2 to?

That's wild. But him joining a 73 win team that he just lost to was wild af. Who knows. Anything goes next summer.

He'd be the best player on the Lakers. Kinda like he's proven to be on the Dubs with Steph. He supplants Bron that way.

He grew up with two brothers that are pro athletes.

He’s probably seen so many living room fades that a bench dust up between dudes that were never gonna swing isn’t even worth flinching over to him.

Reason he spoke up in the locker room was probably just to get them to shut the hell up.

Plus between the 3 of them he knows he’s getting paid first and if somehow he doesn’t, he has as much or more negotiating leverage as KD because his skill set will likely age really well.

But that's the point. No one sees KD as #1 on the warriors. They see him as being better than steph, but not #1 on the warriors. Just last night the chatter was abt steph and how much better the Warriors are with Steph on the floor.

In the same way, no matter what KD does in LAL, he'd always be looked at as following in Bron's footsteps, something he's lamented his entire career. He just came out of following in Steph's footsteps, following in Bron's footsteps would be wild. But what do I know.

Two completely different situations.

LeBron went back to get a ring for his home town/state. He got washed 2 years in a row. The team he was on last season was garbage.
