Official 2019 OFFSEASON New York Yankees Thread: COLE OR STRAUS

*Prays Andujar doesn’t have a setback*

Throw him at DH for the next couple of months then figure it out when Judge and Stanton are both ready

Gary has a .950 OPS after tonight. He had a 1.032 in that ridiculous stretch he had in 2016. His 2017 was an .867 OPS

Not sure he can stick to a .950 OPS because that’s ridiculous. But he’s got a ton of leeway to match 2017 where he was really good. Gary is also leading the league with Barrel Hits per Plate Appearance percentage, so he’s constantly getting good contact, but like last year runs into bad luck. Top 7 Launch angle and exit velo

Luke won’t be able to match the 1.095 OPS he had last year with us. He’s at .940. But he’s getting On Base. .396 OBP in 30 games this year. .405 OBP in 39 games last year.

Gleyber is matching his 2018 BA. But his OPS is down 40 points. His SLG is .465 compared to .480 last year. The issue is he’s not walking enough so far. Last year it was 2.9Ks per every walk. Now it’s about 4.67Ks per every walk.

Of our 3 everyday guys that are currently around. Some things that don’t match up, but still each one has some positives or are having a good season outright through a month.

Love Gleyber but his plate discipline needs a lot of work. Dude swings at the first pitch mo matter what and its been killing em lately

no denying when sanchez puts barrel on the ball he hits like a mammoth but he can also look likea fool sometimes at some swing and misses

if anything they cant afford to lose starting pitching smh... cant just call someone up from the minor league and fill in

Word is they’re in on Kuechel and just waiting until after the draft.

I was close on that call when Didi could be back.
