In addition to that, the admin wants to see the school as well, a school. They refuse to support the athletics in a way that makes them competitive. (Although they do have excellent cross country and track athletics) Some of it started with the rape/party culture in the early 2000s.

CU doesn’t offer large multi year contacts to coaches like other schools do. They provide the lowest assistant coach salaries in the PAC 12. They have the second lowest recruiting budget. Every scholarship counts as out of state tuition that athletics has to pay, which is sky high at CU.

They had a great coach in Mel… and they refused to give him proper support. CU will always be a great school with a stunning campus, excellent all season weather, located in one of the best cities in the US, and as long as the current admin has their way - a ****** football team.

The committee does not give a **** about group of five schools. Pathetic.

Those schools don’t generate the two important things that ESPN and the committee look for : ratings and money. Money as far as the fan base traveling to the semifinal/champ game host and tv ratings dollar wise.

Why even have AP polls if teams like Cincy aren't going to have any respek put on their name?

In the playoff era, the coaches and AP polls are worthless. They're made purely for fans to have an idea of who the good teams are but they really serve no purpose anymore. In the BCS, those polls were part of the BCS formula.

The playoff committee is a completely different entity and, as they've shown, they don't care where the coaches or AP has teams ranked.

Plus we go over this almost every year the initial first list is for ESPN fun. Entertaining to freak out but we still got a month left of games, upsets and final resumes.

At this point nobody should be surprised by the ranking anymore…The CFP is not real playoffs and it was designed as a big tv event for the most popular and big name schools once the BCS started to get old to ppl…There is no consistent criteria for who deserves to be in or who is the best other than being in the SEC …It is what it is till they expand it and get it to something resembling an actual playoff based on results

I think that’s the first time I’ve actually seen contract language for a coach. It’s a pretty standard worded employment contract, I don’t know why I expected something idk different.

He's doing a great job for where he is. Very good football coach, in my opinion. Would not have been at all surprised if he were options D, E, or F for some these programs that may keep swinging and missing on guys.
