Addison lost his OC, QB & WR coach.

The funny thing about Addison is the OU board knows he was rumored to transfer to play with Caleb under Venables, then that talk stopped after Slovis transferred in and Caleb transferred out of OU.
Side note: when did Pitt first make contact with Slovis? Because people knew he’d transfer and Pitt was likely with 1-2 games left in our regular season.
Narduzzi is causing fake outrage to try to stop him from leaving. But he knows how this works.

If kids are able to leverage their entertainment opportunities and corporate value themselves, how many schools would be able to compete with USC? Miami, UCLA, UGA and who? They’re going to organically go to the markets where they have the greatest earning potential. We already see this in literally every sport.
If the game is random Joe Booster who comes from family money paying recruit $1 Million to go their school and sign 30 autographs at Joe’s Lawnmower world, then USC is going to lose in that environment. THAT’S what he’s complaining about. That system benefits the smaller markets with more invested boosters.
He used ****** wording but obviously NIL is a factor in recruiting just like value of a degree from an institution and promise of future NFL success is. What he meant is people shouldn’t be able to offer kids what essentially amounts to a straight up signing bonus.
Personally I don’t care. Kids should get their money.

I just don’t get the argument that “hey come to USC and get this Beats by Dre contract!” is any different than “Come sign autographs for Joe’s Automotive!”
It’s the same thing. It’s still boosters paying for players no matter how you want to slice it. Big national brands with no connection to these schools don’t care about college athletes.

Caleb had that beats deal at OU though. It became more valuable at SC. THAT’S the nuance people are missing.
SC boosters aren’t getting Addison any deals he doesn’t already have. An NIL agent is telling him the deal is more valuable in LA than it is in Pitt. Pitt boosters are scrambling to put together a ******** no show NIL deal to make up the difference in earning potential and try to keep him. That’s the difference between the two pitches.

I literally hate tOSU fans/analysts for reasons like this. Every player we get is going to be the next Bosa, Zeke, Okudah, etc. Kids haven’t even played a snap and they get compared to those guys
