Oh yea. France and for that matter Portugal never used to make the World Cup. They wouldn’t even come close.

Yea that’s exactly what my Pops would say. The Natives don’t care about Football. They cared more about skiiing, the Olympics, Formula 1.

Immigrants put Football on the map. Immigrants made them care - but only when they started winning.

Love the huge overreaction to the England loss. They ran into a great French team. Despite what i think was lackluster refereeing they got 2 pks. They missed the second to tie the game. They were very close to at least a shootout. I don't see it as a huge deal.

That being said. Jude seems like the real deal. And i was impressed by Declan Rice. I never got the hype for him when people rave about him at West Ham but he was great for England.

France should beat Morocco. Argentina should beat Croatia. France needs to score early and make Morocco attack because they are great defensively if they get a goal and can just defend. Argentina needs to play a full 90 against Croatia. Croatia just won't die out there....ever got to love their spirit.

the problem is they have made themselves as important as the players. lahoz does that every single week in la liga. makes the match about him. teams scout the refs as much as players. there is zero consistency and each ref wants the match to be played in their own way THEY see fit.
