Upamecano also stunk it up even with a healthy Saliba. Seemed like he was on an island everytime he was defending even though he wasn't

France really lost their individual battles and it snowballed with no urgency and scoreline. Spain didnt even dominate possession and bore us with 1000 passes which was shocking because they could of just easily did that when it was 1-0.

If you told me Spain was to only have 51% possession against France, I would of asked how much they lost by. Pretty incredible performance from them in retrospect especially after not being a prisoner in the moment from earlier.

dudes prisoners of the moment :lol

healthy saliba changes things

Before I get “LMAO your boy Mbappe trash compared to a 19 year old” comments:

I’m not a Barça fan like how I used to be when I was younger because of all the way the club has been run, but I still prefer them to win over Real Madrid.

That doesn’t mean I have to act like Mbappe and any player that just happen to play for RM are mediocre or trash. I love how he and Bellingham play especially for the national teams. I’m not from Spain and I’m not some Catalan nationalist that has to hate anyone not brought up in La Masia

You're a better man than me because if I see Bruno Fernandes or Luke Shaw walking the streets I'm giving them stick and calling them dogwater.

Mbappe is a great scorer. Far from trash but immensely overrated

i won't speak on his play in la liga, but on the international stage, his play has always been top tier. balled out in 2022 and was having himself a great (if not dominant) tournament prior to going ghost today. the connection he had with olise was the catalyst to france's run this year.

i needa see him hoist a champions league trophy before he decides to call it quits and transfers to the MLS

He’s not the him the people think he is.
No one questions his talent or ability but that really doesn’t mean **** if you aren’t winning with the most talented squad in world football club and country.

Not to mention, the club you left becomes instantly better and wins 2 CL’s in a row after you’re gone and the club you go to becomes instantly worse after winning a CL. You also go trophyless for 2 seasons straight which is unheard of before for that club. Meanwhile you are the most expensive player with the highest wages.

What do we call that then?

You speaking to the right person because jape jape got all the receipts on Mbappe in La Liga

Can't stand him at Real Madrid either but man is a Ballon Dor, La Liga title and a Champions League(like you said)trophy away from completing football. He'll get his flowers in due time but now that his tenure with France is done this summer its back to the overrated until he does it in Spain wave.

I’ve criticized Deschamps a lot over the years. Was nice to see him change some of tactics this last time around. Winning the WC 2018 and being the runner up in 2022 are the highlights of his career for sure.

2. why does introducing an american audience to something always mean adding some unnecessary ****? might as well have the blue angels flying above during hydration breaks to bring in more casual viewers.
just chasing the almighty dollar.

And it’s not just FIFA scheming to get more Americans/middle easterners to spend on soccer “stuff.” La Liga almost debased itself last year by trying to play a cup final outside of Spain.

1. i thought this was ray romano

I don’t even know what the goal is. Does the type of person that tunes into the Super Bowl for commercials and half time shows really seem like the type of person who’s going to start flying across the world to watch matches? I doubt it

I only watch the Super Bowl if the Niners are in it because I can’t stand how long the game takes. A regular season NFL game is already long. I wouldn’t even mind the breaks in play that much if it meant more analysis instead of Liberty Mutual, Wegovy, or “THE THING ABOUT AMERICA IS WE CANT STOP BEING AMERICAN” Ram ads
