It was a bold "strategy" by England to allow Argentina to have 1 chance per minute for the remaining 35+ minutes of the game after they scored. It almost paid off. Had Argentina not scored in the 85th minute they would've only needed to survive another 15 Argentina shots on goal.

What a loser's mentality. England went from barely allowing Argentina half a chance for the first 55 minutes of the game to pulling back and letting Argentina attack over and over again. Even to a point where after a goal kick Pickford just kicked the ball to the other end to allow Argentina a new attack from scratch.
