am i the only one who cant get the propper waves on the sides b/c of sleep. i wake up every morning with a wave cap that is barely on. any advice?

Brush your whole head in a spiral pattern from you spiral point. Most ppl's spiral point is at the top of their head, but I've seen some on the back and sides.

Any of ya'll hit the gym regularly? How do your waves hold up?

I was always worried that the extra sweat and washing of the hair more regularly might mess up the wave pattern.

I'm bout to start hittin the gym again (for the first time with waves) tomorrow.

when i hoop, and my hair is already a few weeks in they will not hold up.

When you guys have been wolfing for a while and want a cut, what do you tell your barber?

I used to get a taper fade, and would just have waves with that but i don't want that this time.

Nice hair everyone.

Just got my hair cit and I'm going to try to get waves for the 1st time. I'm going to pick up the products sometime this week.

Can someone please list everything I'll need?

Shampoo type?
Conditioner type?
Grease type?
Du Rag vs Cap?
Brush types?

Am I missing anything? Any other advice is welcomed.

I've seen from in here that Garnier Fructis is a good shampoo & conditioner...
Grease...Carrot Creme & Indian Hemp
Du-rag
Medium brush (not too hard...not too soft)

Hope that helped...
