I like my pair of midnight Tokyo’s but they are easily my least comfortable 1 and I tend to pass on wearing them a lot for the reason. Most of mine are from 2015-2019. But they get the most compliments.

Def agreed that it’s a great time to buy 1s. I picked up the first court purples ds near retail a few weeks ago. Might swing back for another pair of royals since they’ve dropped so much. But otherwise I got most of the ones I want and I’m not dropping that kind of $ for Fragments and the first run of Unions.

It’s my regret about the current crash. I’d like to offload a lot of pairs to make space in my house. But everything tanked. Video game and Pokémon seems to do better at holding value.

Yeah I'm in this same boat with a lot of the pairs I kept.

AJ1s are perfect for collecting since they are so versatile. For a long time you could buy a pair (including GRs) and, even if you didn't wear them, you could easily resell and at least get your money back that you spent on retail... That simply isn't the case anymore.

I’ve worn mine a lot and the sole is still stiff, like can’t break them in. The oval laces through the suede over the thin leather tongue is less pleasant than the traditional 1 setup.

None of this is really a big deal but I’d wear them more often if had better comfort bc they’re a nice shoe.

Interesting. I'd have thought they are more comfy than a standard J1 given the really nice leather, especially around the collar. The leather looks the same as the Nigel 1 highs, which I own and are very comfortable. Weird about the soles being stiff.

There are a lot of pairs on Goat in my size atm. Very clean used pairs slightly over $100. I'd really like to sell a pair or 2 before pulling the trigger though.

Yeah those thin non-nylon tongues like on co.jp, 2014 b&w, pinnacle 2015, were not as good on foot.

Yeah I got a lot of pairs im going to be selling, but fortunately a lot more rare dunks and rare pairs. I need to reduce my collection by at least 30%. Got a few pairs i know I'll miss but just gonna do it anyways. I think J1s have tanked the worst overall across the board for sneakers than anything else. Outside of TS pairs and a few SB x J1s, most have fallen off the cliff.

Not really that different, but different enough that people complain about it.

Swoosh size and toe box. Without a shoe form the V2 toe box will curl up. Just look at photos of SBB retro and the Chicago Unions.
