I modded all my 9's in a similar way. They have that "sock" type design, and they're just too damn tight. I'm not going to size up just so they're wearable, and otherwise they're cutting off circulation. It made such an amazing difference

I have to agree the sizing is weird. I ended up ordering a 10 even though I'm normally an 11 and planned on trading up but surprisingly the 10 fits. My BC3's actually run about .5 size too big. Guess I'll add the weird sizing to the quality complaints I have with JB smhhhhh

size 10 works great for me, with sneakershields, avoiding creasing the shoes. keeping the shoe clean, fits great.

Leather is pretty stiff, the upper is built to outlast the midsole. I wish the midsole would do the same thing
