OFFICIAL: Air Trainer 1 Mid Premium aka "Chlorophylls"... paging Wallyhop....

^ Thought exactly the same thing. I have 2001 whose sole would almost certainly be crumbled like that as soon as I wear them, so, would love to give a try if that’s true.

Foam midsole looks pretty crumbled tho. Angelus can fix that???
You fix it  There is still plenty of foam and it does not look too much crumbled. You basically go thick on the glue and wait for drying 20 minutes before assembling. It will hold this mess together. May be temporary and need a bit if cleaning/sanding/white paint on the exterior part to look clean, but cheaper than a sole swap.

Y’all motivated me

Alright guys. Throwing my pairs into the ring here

this is separation

(From a 2004 zoom air trainer 1 mid) dual zoom pods ftw. I knew it all along.
They may or may not be wearable even with glue. We shall see. The bottom half of the outsole is flapping away as well. The whole outsole is like 4-5 different pieces.
Now this is separation but even then, the guts have been exposed.

Ive glued this part over the years. It’s the first to go. That and the outrigger. Once your innards have been exposed to air, there’s no going back. It’s probably not worth a flying at this stage.

Full air, just like the og. I wonder if the recent retros are.

And here’s a at1 low bubbling I saw on my at1 low many years ago. It finally protruded through

Overall it’s just an age thing. I give these shoes 10-16 years tops.

I wish it was for better news. I’m down to maybe a dozen wearable trainers, and 20 sitting in the graveyard.

Favorite trainer to me is the Nike DJ Clark Kent 112's! Had a pair in high school they were grails. any chance if buying a used pair nowadays will not crack?

One can't really tell as it depends on shoe, how and where its been worn and stored. Beeing 2008s, 12 years old you might not be able to use them very long but who knows... My 2004 book of one's failed on me maybe 4 years ago, while my 2007 checkerboards tongue chloros are still wearable and foam look compact. One of my 2015s pure platinums that have been soaked wet and stored in humidity (never machine wash them btw!) already start cracking and crumbling, you can dent the foam with your nail on them. So, wear your kicks, but buy at your own risk...

damn. Felt all nostalgia on mother's day. Busted these out. Within minutes :frown:

I never got to fully turn them into beaters.

I felt confident. They weren't exactly squishy. I had worn these a few times over the last 2-3 years. They got most of their wear 08-16.

Such a no frills dad shoe. Down to zero wearable at1 lows.

I probably posted here when it happened. 2000 cholorphylls failed on me around 2013-2014. So these 2004-2005s likely were expired 2-3 yrs back.

WEAR YOUR SHOES!

mikey23 mikey23 truly a roll of the dice but i think they'd be fine. no problems with either of mine. have one more pair that's still ds. gotta wear it really soon or that one could be a potential candidate for a headache.
