Official AUTHENTIC NBA JERSEY Post - Bringin Back the JERSEY ERA... (Info/Guide = Page 1)

Hi everyone. Helped my uncle clean out his attic. Curious if this is legit.

Looks like a legit reebok replica with the wide shoulders. The players, on the contrary, wore jerseys with thin shoulders. Lovely sublimation anyway.

hey guys, can i get a LC, this is in hand atm:

The KG looked pretty good to me at first glance. But what stood out to me was:
1. The authentic KGs I’ve seen have a clean NBA/ jerry embroidery logo without any discernible border (like what we see on the old Nike Swingmans)

2. The stitching of the “Garnett” on the back looks almost perforated/ raised where it should be smoother zigzag stitch.

3. Related to the point above, the “Garnett” should also have a navy shadow color blocking. I *think* they got rid of 2-tone colour blocking on the names after the 03-04 season, but the jock tag suggests the jersey is before 04–05/ 05-06 during which they added team logos to the jock tag.

4. I also think the numbers and word marks should have a “dazzle/ shimmer” on the silver portions - but maybe it washed off over time.

I dunno these things are hard to tell… I definitely would have scooped for the right price as well without thinking and checking.

Below is my 04-05/ 05-06 Reebok run KG for reference. Although, I anticipate folks will say it’s also fugazzi based on the “4” on the jocktag (and if anyone thinks they have a “legit” one or can find a pic of a legit one from the run please post).

I regret to inform that the Black KG above is also fake :/ Same version as the one LCed

I thought the one that was LCed had just the white “Garnett” font - no?The one above has the navy blue shadow blocking on the letters. I don’t see anything that suggests it’s fake either…

There's a black KG a page back. Same issues as that one.

I finally wore this jersey I've had since 2020 for the first time ever yesterday since I got the recently released Jordan V Concord to wear with it.

It's funny that I'm a dumbass hypocrite regarding this Raptors jersey because I disparaged the hell out of it from the '90s to 2000s. I even said the design was a "kid's jersey". But it's ironic I relented and ended getting both colors in 2020.

I'm sorry if the reflective effect of the tongue that's standard with the Jordan V is distracting in this photo.

I recently scored this gold logo G-Hill at my local spot for the low. It’s been almost a 2 yr drought since I copped an authentic there.

It’s crazy, back in like 2016, I’d be able to cop at least one authentic (in my size) a month for $20-$50 but now the game is messed up. Re-sellers have gone wild and hipsters/ casuals will buy anything (from wide-shouldered replicas to authentics without knowing or appreciating the difference) as long as it’s “vintage” and has holes or stains on them. Also add in the fact that international buyers with deep pockets will pay anything - which has also depleted the stock and inflated prices. It seems like the days of finding AND buying any authentic for a reasonable price are gone.

Anyways, this is a rare W for the good guys. It actually gives me more pleasure that I deprived a re-seller/ hipster than the jersey itself lol.

Very nice pick up. In the FB jersey group, some members were trying to make a point about the recent pistons city edition stating this design brought back bad memories: Grant Hill injury and playoff drought, etc. Sounds kind of extreme to me.

I think I'm terms of bargains, not sure if you're MLB authentics fan, but there are great deals for OG Russell, Rawlings and majestics.

Kobe Bryant jerseys are no longer available on Mitchell & Ness site. Probably their contract had expired.
Time for Nike to release again?
