Civic whitepaper and info released. I don't know how I feel about giving my personal information to them at this stage to participate in the ICO.

I'd put in now. If it dips, buy more.

x2

A lot people have waited forever for the right dip to buy in for BTC.

If you're trading, there is more potential to make more money with altcoins than waiting for the dip.

I, unfortunately, had an open position yesterday during the mass sell off. Now I HODL for the recovery before resuming my day trading.

Lesson learned. Next time I will monitor BTC growth closely to spot another bull run and try to predict a potential future sell off for altcoins.

Other than a few YouTube videos that were posted many pages ago, where does one research/learn how to analyze the charts and data?

I started with YouTube and actually was watching stock traders and how they do their analysis'. Then started to google 'candlestick pattern', 'how to spot trend reversals', and 'technical analysis'. Went to investopedia to further research the various terminology and indicators.

Get the basics of candlestick first. Then try to identify trends and patterns. I find myself looking up various candlestick patterns that I didn't recall seeing before.

As of right now, I use a short period and long period moving average line. I also use MACD and Stochastic momentum index. I'm still very new to this, but these have helped me identify overselling and overbuying and trying to find the right window to buy.

The sell off was the only time I had a day trade position go negative because it was so sudden. Before the sell off, I thought it was going to surge about 15-20 satoshis.

Also remember that base hits are more important and reliable than home runs if you're day trading. Collect profits on spikes before they reach the top and come back down.

How far did you guys go to create anonymity in your accounts?   Some sources suggest you should setup new email, new twitter, new reddit, new everything accounts so that nothing can be tied back to your actual identity.   They also suggest using a PC that you've never identified yourself on, that was never owned by anyone else before you, etc.

Did you all go that far?

I think if/when they crack down or really start monitoring crypto, it will be on a set date and not retroactively, because how can they fathom to tax what you have done prior when their are no actual laws?

Example: say they say "hey our records show you have 1000 bitcoins"

You: "yah about that, i lost it on a boating accident (usb). "

So now what? Its the wild wild west here. Get in now before regulation starts happening!!

You remember old school america buying land for pennies? New York for like $300. Big Brother cant do nothing about that after the fact.

damn coinbase said they sent two transactions and i have 3 -__- cant complete verification -___-

i had 3. one was small though like 10 cents or even nothing. i didnt use that one to verify. i used the other two.

Now that i have BTC and ETH in my CoinBase account, where should i transfer it to?

I just went to the link from Vinny's new Medium post today.

Some things are worth more than money, and my identity and wallets being linked to the blockchain defeats the purpose for me if you ever have to trade or cash out

If the government finds a way to regulate one day, that's fine. But giving a private company that power doesn't make sense to me.

They ask for more info than you need for a US bank account.

lol considering they are a company trying to prevent identity fraud, I would assume they want to make sure you are the real person. All good though, more tokens for me
