You have to access the links directly from your BB Browser. I dowloaded both of them without issue.

been a long time bb user and the bold is leaps and bounds beyond my old 8800... and to think i was just about ready to get an iphone

ahh good l lookin

I found this on G4tv.com. Is is true?

Research in Motion has released their newest BlackBerry model, the Bold, and for now the phone is free from Wal-Mart with a 2-year contract and a plan that runs about $80 a month. Well, it's a rebate that fully refunds the cost of the phone, but that's still pretty keen if you're into one of the most popular brands of smartphones and you've got the cash for the plan. You also have to make the purchase through the Wal-Mart web site, but who buys anything in the real world these days anyway?

BlackBerry is going to need promotions like this to compete with whatever else Google can come up with regarding Android in addition to incredible sales for Apple's iPhone which indicate the middle class is buying it in larger numbers than initially predicted. Of course, it all depends on your definition of the middle class. Nowadays no one consideres themselves rich or poor because both are stigmatized.

Regardless, it's a good deal and will bring you into the world of getting the most out of your pocket, whether it's business or pleasure, or both.

Except I read that the Storm will not have WiFi...which is surprising.

Has anyone tried the WalMart deal, only to find out that the phone is really only free with a 79.99 AT&T plan(not including the BB addon)? If I select acheaper(more reasonable plan, based on my actual per month minute usage), the phone is still $199.

Which is fine, since the $20 per month being saved will more than pay for the price of the Bold over the 2 year contract.

Just wondering if anyone else tried to do this and got the same thing.

not really...they are just setting up for the next release to say "NOW WITH WIFI"

its a old game...they could easily pack one of these joints with everythingpeople want but why...then we wont need to upgrade-

but verizon requires the data plan so it doesnt really matter...if you are in a area where u dont have service chances are you aint gonna have a wificonnection to hop on-

i have wifi on the curve and aside from the first couple of days havent used it at all...so i wont miss it...

^^ just hope verizon dont gimp there phone, like they usually do
from what i been reading the only thing they will be messing with is the GPS since they have their own system....

What is wrong with people these days? Found a cat on CL that wanted to trade his 4GB 2nd gen iPhone for a BB Curve. I hit up the cat and he's like hewants my Curve plus $100. All that for a 4GB iPhone that is not even on the market anymore

here i am boxing up yet another curve to send back to TMO....i got the new one from them today and it doesnt even have 4.5

I couldn't stand the updating process. I remember staying after work an extra hour one day updating because the process took forever. I hadstarted about a hour or so before I got off of work.
