Watson hit a pretty crappy bunker shot and then 2 putted for a 5. Cink was pretty tight - holed out for a 4.
On the next hole he put his second on the green - but the first putt was pretty long - put it to about 6 feet and holed that.
Watson pushed his second way down the left - down that big bank that someone was at the bottom of yesterday - but made a nice recovery to about 5 feet andholed the putt.
So Watson +1 after the first 2 with Cink even par.

I hate to root against Stewart Cink but I wanted it for Tom. I was sick to my stomach when he missed the putt on 18, especially since he missed it low. TomWatson made it an unforgettable week though, and this Open will be remembered forever for what it was regardless. And I briefly spoke with him for like 30seconds on Thursday after his opening 65, which was very very cool and something I won't forget.

I changed my mind after watching the highlights again: I'm sick to my stomach for Tom Watson, he deserves that trophy, and watching his interviewafterwards was just tough. At 59 years old, he'll never get a chance like that in his life again, it's just sad to see as a golf fan and also as anoutsider looking in on someone's life.
