I'm a LIFER. Gambling is what I do.
At the casinos I normally bet sports, play blackjack, craps and poker.
Just got back from Vegas this past weekend and actually lost at blackjack for once in a VERY long time... But I had my girl play along my side and she won back everything I lost and then some.
Don't you guys love those BJ hands where you time it perfect and bet big cause you feel good about the next hand and get a double down opportunity as well??? My girl put out $100 on a hand and got dealt 7,4. Doubled that down and got dealt an Ace but dealer proceeds to bust and make it an easy win. Those "good feelings" are actually me counting cards BTW but that's another story all together.
Also, what's good with those pit bosses replenishing chips at the table in the middle of a shoe in BJ??? I notice they always do it when the table gets hot. Casinos be trying to player hate for real.
But here's a few things you guys have to consider when gambling:
- The house will always have an advantage especially when it comes to money because their bankroll is endless and most of us that gamble have a limit... Therefore they can ride the cold streaks cause when the casinos/dealers start to lose the table gets replenished with chips anyway. So manage your money WISELY.
- Always set limits... If you lose a certain amount don't go chasing. Only gamble what you can afford to lose, Realest talk.
- Never gamble when you're mad/emotional about some %$*$... Bringing feelings to the table is never a good look and will lead to bad decision making at the table.
- Be prepared mentally to LOSE and LOSE over and over again... It wouldn't be called gambling if you win all the time. That's where money management comes into play though, The better you manage your money the easier it is to deal with losing.
That's all I can come up with for now... I'll post some strategic tips and answer whatever questions I can later tho.
GOOD LUCK!!!
