If someone put out a hit for Bartomeu and the previous Barca FO, I wouldn't be sad if it went through.

Good historical perspective to the current PL dominance showing that these things go in cycles.

English footy was in the gutter for a long time during the 70's and 80's and was known more for rampant hooliganism and violence than anything before the top flight united under the PL banner in 1992. They were even straight up banned from European competition at one point for years until 1990.

Serie A was the dominant league when I was a kid and had been for a whole. They were setting spending records and fielding the best teams in the world, for the longest time before Real ushered in the Galactico era and Barca really blossomed into the mega club they are now.

This PL dominance is only a relatively recent developement and didn't happen overnight. It's obviously hard to look passed it right now but who knows what can happen in the future. Other leagues obviously have a lot of work to do to get there but I don't think it's necessarily impossible for them to eventually get back to the top with smart investment and long term strategy.

Prem so dominant that in the last decade they’ve won a mere 2 UCLs. La Liga 6, Bayernliga 2.

I will say they’re undoubtedly financially dominant though. And you have to think logically that at some point it will give and the financial dominance will translate to clear and objective on-pitch dominance as well if things persist.

That's the dominance I'm referring to in light of all the outcry and moaning around Europe regarding that financial dominance :lol, it didn't happen overnight and the groundwork was laid ages ago.

Now everyone falling behind is scrambling to catch up and adapt their model to the times.

That financial dominance has slowly started to translate itself on the pitch though recently little by little which is why an idea like the ESL isn't gonna die anytime soon :lol

Felix, Neymar & Nnkunku all in the pitch together seems is lulz

You forget Sterling :pimp:

Really, nothing happened. Neymar will be staying in Paris no matter what. Boehly was just trying to buy Al-Khelaifi's UEFA position :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Those last 2 being Chelsea baby!

Pretty sure he’s referring to Liverpool in ‘19 and Chelsea in ‘21. Both of which were all English finals. Real Madrid and Barcelona were a step above everyone else for most of the decade but the gap has been closed.

Oh Shhh you’re right .He said last decade and I thought of ‘12-‘22. Oh Oopz. Obviously no ill will on Liverpool bagging #6

Welp

Good news for the Gooners in here.

Hope it's the start of PL refs actually being held accountable for errors consistently because the standard of officiating in the league has gone down the toilet lately, even after the introduction of VAR.
