FWIW Joffrey had similar attributes (self obsessed, arrogant) and I felt the same way about him, although I never liked him. I did like Dany for a while when she was liberating folks.

I haven't liked Dany for quite some time now. My first (and only) re-watch earlier this year solidified that feeling. She was whiny, did nothing but scream & make demands. My take is she never really loved Jon the way she claimed. She was all about the power she thought was rightfully hers.
