I didn't get the "Wow" factor from TD like most people did for some reason. It was entertaining though. MM is definitely a great actor!

Bro. I dont get the True Detective hype. My brother LOVES that show. Seen it 3x already. I finished episode 3 and said "WTF is this ****?"
Anyway just to make sure I get this right Viserys was a bastard right? That's why the melted gold burned him? Because Dany can walk through fire. She even said "He wasnt a true dragon. Fire cannot kill a dragon"

TD was awesome. I don't know, the acting, the story, the music was all perfectly put together for me. And MM just explained the way I feel about a lot of religious people in a few of those episodes. *flame suit on* I'm not having this discussion here.
And Viserys was her true biological brother. It's hard to explain this as I'm not sure, the bloodline wasn't strong in his genes maybe? But she thought that he wasn't meant to be a king because he was too hot headed and self-entitled.

Blood in, blood out...
In order to be a Dragon, your mother has to die during birth...
She's not? How did she survive the fire when the dragons hatched?
Q: Do Targaryens become immune to fire once they "bond" to their dragons?
George_RR_Martin: Granny, thanks for asking that. It gives me a chance to clear up a common misconception. TARGARYENS ARE NOT IMMUNE TO FIRE! The birth of Dany's dragons was unique, magical, wonderous, a miracle. She is called The Unburnt because she walked into the flames and lived. But her brother sure as hell wasn't immune to that molten gold.
Q: So she won't be able to do it again?
George_RR_Martin: Probably not.
GRRM: Lastly, some fans are reading too much into the scene in GAME OF THRONES where the dragons are born -- which is to say, it was never the case that all Targaryens are immune to all fire at all times.
Martin: No, no Targaryans are immune to fire. The thing with Dany and the dragons, that was just a one-time magical event, very special and unique. The Targaryans can tolerate a bit more heat than most ordinary people, they like really hot baths and things like that, but that doesn't mean they're totally immune to fire, no. Dragons, on the other hand, are pretty much immune to fire.

Hypersoldier is prolly the ***** that makes people who read the books feel like they just skimmed through it
Yah I am glad TD touched on those as well since I dont view religion in high regard either but at the same time 3 boring episodes out of 8. That's almost half the season. I didnt even bother with the next 5
I'm glad i didn't have to wait every week for TD that wouldve killed me.
as far as ASIOAF i'm a book reader as well currently reading the history..
IDK why people keep saying they hope he don't die. lol he may be big but he alright.
Breaking Bad is laughably overrated. It's a shame too because it was a very good show.
Mad Men is A1
The Wire is still GOAT though. I mean off realism and social commentary alone it holds the crown.
True Detective season 1 is the goods but I can be sold on just about any crime drama. I'll be amazed if they can replicate in season 2.
GOT is just impossible for me to rank or compare unbiased. It's just tailor made for my taste. The kind of stuff I used to fantasize about in 3rd grade while everyone else was on wrestling.
while we're off GoT topic for a sec
Anyone watch True Detective? I'm on ep 5 of season 1 and their plan to have a new story every season seems like an amazing thing
Matthew Mc, got me questioning my self and beliefs the way talks in this series. such a good actor
There are a lot of great fantasy series, just this is the best most recent.
I'm glad i fell in to this a few years ago.
