What's up Canada.
Thought I'd make a post for iPhone users in Canada.
I've seen a few of you post up yours,
so this can be used as a general discussion,
or post up you're iPhone theme/suggestions/Rogers griefs.
Also, I know somebody was ragging on Rogers for not having an "unlimited" plan.
Well now is the time to jump on it. Grab a refurb iPhone for $250 at a US Apple Store,
Unlock and all that using ZiPhone, then you can use Rogers $7 Vision Plan for Unlimited everything (Mail, Web, Maps, Stocks....everything)
Here's my theme, post up any of your tips/iPhones, or anything that has to do with cell Phones,

I'm on 1.1.4 unlocked.

Yeah...i thought the Vision Plan only works if the IMEI is listed at Rogers.

8GB...1.1.4...A Touch Of Class Theme...
 
If you use ZiPhone to unlock, under the advanced tab just hit "Custom IMEI", I put in my dads old RAZR V3 IMEI, and I'm set.
currently at 200 MBs this month, and no overages at all.

^ I used Ziphone but didn't know about the custom IMEI...I think I have to try that...still have my old Rogers Motorola...

You're not committed to a certain period for the Vision Plan right?

personally i hope rogers doesn't get the iphone..

crap, i didnt use ziphone, I used iLiberty.
Maybe when exams are over, I'll redo it with ZiPhone and try out that Plan.

New plan huh... I was hoping to switch to my corporate plan.. hopefully I can still get this added on.
 
So contrary to all the phone experts over at HoFo...ziphone can unlock and change IMEI's with a few clicks?

If that's the case then I'd wait for the 3G iPhone, use Ziphone to change the IMEI to some Fido-branded handset I have laying around and subscribe tothe $20 Value pack with unlimited handset surfing...sounds way too easy.

I'm not sure how they're going to implement the IMEI tracking, so I'm not gonna take that risk. I don't want to end up with a $5000 bill thenext month after going haywire on my iPhone.

I've got the $18 VP free on my line with the 12 MB data which is more than enough for me to check emails on the regular on my E61...plus it has wifi. Whichis all I really need since I never leave without my Macbook by my side.
 
Not crazy about that theme, but my girlfriend has an iPhone and it's just ridiculous. By far the coolest cell phone out...

Then you'll never see affordable iPhone data plans.
