Here's a broad thread for the Jordan VII to join the line of threads specified for individual classic and popular signature models on this forum.

The VII will be remembered as the model Michael Jordan wore when he won his second championship and gold medal in his storied career.

Please post all things related to the VII on here.

There's a correlating gimmick with this thread being created at 2:23 PM because it coincides with his No. 23 jersey number and his second ring. 😎

My first pair of 7s in 93 had leather uppers. The size I think was a 7 or 7 and a half. Upon looking these versions up, they were made in China as opposed to Korea and Taiwan durabuck pairs for the larger sizes. The midsoles crumbled way easier than the other 7s. I thrashed those. But my dog finished them off one day when I was at school.

H headdetective There it is, the only picture of crumbled OG 7s I've ever seen on the internet
I remember we were in another thread talking about this is the only pic we've ever seen lol

Want a pair of those, but I know if I buy em now, they're going to announce a retro :lol
I’d be nervous to buy any dead stock retro from say 2016 or older.

These were really good though. Not perfect but much better shape than early retro 7s and all in all they were pretty faithful to the OG. My pair doesn’t have that ugly toe bump either that seemed to be on many 2015 pairs.

I get ya sentiment, but I don't apply that to 1s or 7s respectfully.
1s don't crumble at all, 7s tend to separate but that's not a hard fix.

For some reason, the only originals I see like this are smaller sizes made in China. Korean and Tiawan pairs for the most part have held up. They just separate from the outsole.
